Empowering Women through Tailoring Classes

Fr. Prakash Figerdo sought the help of ‘SWADES’ (Social Wing) and organized a course in tailoring for girls. A qualified teacher was appointed to train 14 girls from the Madwal region. They were taught basic sewing and also to stitch dresses in different styles and designs. Seven sewing machines were given to deserving students to enable them to earn a livelihood and to be self-dependent. Thus, girl school dropouts have the opportunity to learn a skill and get self-confidence to build a better future.
