Konkani course begins at Thomas Stephen Konkani Kendr Porvorim The Konkani course has begun well and we have enthusiastic students attending the same. The course is in collaboration with St. Xavier's College Mapusa

On the 24th and 25th of June the candidates from Loyola Hall, Miramar had been to Bom Jesus Basilica, Old-Goa for a recollection which was given by Fr. Jude Carasco. The candidates had a fruitful recollection in the presence of our Goencho Saib St. Francis Xavier. 7-day Silent Ignatian Retreat May-2023 The 23 Jesuits of the Goa Province and Pune embarked on a transformative journey during a 7-day silent Ignatian retreat, immersing themselves in the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
The retreat provided a much-needed respite, offering a sacred space for silence and deep contemplation, allowing the Jesuits to nourish their spiritual lives. Guided by Ignatian forms of prayer and engaging talks on Ignatian
Throughout the retreat, the participants engaged in personal prayer and had one-on-one spiritual conversations.
Fr. Shanon Pereira skillfully guided the retreat, while the sisters provided valuable insights and guidance for prayer.

Leadership Camp at North & South Goa 🌟The Goa Province Jesuits had an amazing Leadership Camp for those who have completed their Standard 10 education! 🏫In the north, Loyola Hall, Miramar hosted 18 enthusiastic youngsters who had a fantastic time with sessions, activities, action songs, and fun games to enhance their leadership qualities. 🎉 The theme was all about Finding God through one's gifts and talents.

Ignatian Year (20.05.2021 - 31.07.2022) Fr General has announced the Ignatian Year,
commemorating the 500th anniversary of the
conversion of St. Ignatius and the 400th
anniversary of his canonization.
The following members are part of the 'Goa
Province Organizing Committee' for the Ignatian
Year (IY 2021-22)
Coordinator: Fr Apollo Cardozo.
Members of the Committee: Fr Merwin D'Souza, Fr Sebastian Pereira, Fr Nigel
Alphonso, and Fr Lawry Trinidade.
St. Xavier's ITI was started as an outcome of the Jesuit General Congregation 32, which gave the first impetus through its decree on “ The Preferential Option for the Poor”. By this time, the Goa Province (formerly known as the Goa-Pune Province) had two institutes at that time: one in Pune and the other at Shrirampur, Maharashtra. Seeing the growing trend in among the youth in society of dropping out of school, especially among the rural poor, the Goa Province started a non-formal technical institute to cater to the school dropouts which was based at St. Paul’s High School, Belagavi. The ITI hence had its humble beginnings as St Paul’s Non-Formal Technical Training Institute, with Br. Benancio Carvalho, S.J. as its first director. The institute started out with 15 boys, and provided a multi-faceted technical training that enabled them to get jobs in the surrounding industries. As time passed and numbers grew, the need for a bigger place was felt. Hence, a survey was done to find out a suitable place to shift the institute and Khanapur was chosen since it was closer to the rural area, and could cater to more students. Furthermore, any thoughts of expansion can be also met if required since Khanapur was a small town central to the rural belts around.
